Project 52. Finally sun.

We’ve been waiting for sunshine. It has been months of snowy, cold and miserable days. There are some who would not rejoice at 50 degrees weather, but on a weekend in early March we surely did. We hope it means the end of the cold, the end of the dreary, the end of illness, and the end of some winter blues for us all.

White bubbles of fun where superhero figures can hide and be attacked by the Bubble Monster. Bubbles of fluffy white that can be blown at mommy for “bubble fights” and used to make beards and mustaches. Bubbles of fluffy white that usually fade and melt into warm water after making memories that mommy, at least, will treasure for the reset of her life. I hate the time change. Absolutely hate it. I hate how it means less time with my son, but also less time to photograph. When school is done there is only an hour before the good light is gone. there is only an hour before we’re confined in the house in the cold and the dark. I wait anxiously for spring and for longer days and more sunlight. The photographer in me waits, as does the person who tends to be melancholy when there isn’t enough sun for an extended amount of time.

Week 30 of 52? Maybe? I don’t really know anymore, but here we are somewhere along the journey and here are some of my favorite photos from last week (Yes, I photograph almost every day and yes, my husband has told me I’m going to turn into a camera one day.)
