My name is Lisa and I’m a wife, a mom, a Christian and owned by three pets (two cats and a dog)
As a former photo journalist I love capturing real moments. In the last two years my photography has developed into a more documentary style photography. This is a style I believe can capture the essence of a child’s personality and the authenticity of a family’s relationship with each other.
I am currently only offering free sessions for families facing a difficult medical diagnosis or tragedy.
I prefer to capture you and your family as they are, in an organic style. I specialize mainly in child photography (including newborn/infants), but also photograph families and maternity.
I always say I don’t want you to change a thing for me and I mean it.
I encourage you not to think of your photo session as a time for your child to look “just so” or “act just right.” I don’t want them to ever feel like this is a moment being forced on them.
Maybe you think your house is not “nice enough” for photographs or that your child’s everyday clothes are not “fancy enough” for a photo session. Please know, this is not a formal photography session. Family sessions do not have to be complicated or stressful. Maybe you’ve had your formal session. You can see this as your “informal” session.
Be yourself because who you are and who your children are is beautiful. The smudge on your little one’s cheek may not be “perfect” but it is part of who they are. Their messy hair may not be “perfect” but their imperfection is beautiful.
The baby is crying, her older brother is laughing — oh my gosh it could be a disaster. Or it could be one of your most favorite images of all time.
If you want a formal session, you should have a formal session.
If you want your child’s personality captured forever in a way that will make you shake your head and say “That’s him” or “She always did that with her mouth…so funny!” I’m your photographer.
